Artist Statement
I don't make art to illustrate answers. I make it because I'm captivated by questions.Why do we become who we become? Why do strangers recognize themselves in each other? What parts of ourselves are inherited, chosen, hidden, or borrowed?Whether through painting, live performances, or participatory projects like Borrowed Worlds, my practice is an ongoing attempt to understand the strange, beautiful experience of being human.
